Abstract

The research documented in this report focuses on identifying and documenting leading strategic asset management practices used by utilities. Leading practices were identified, documented, and validated through site visits and a leading practices research forum held in 2010. The Leading Practices are presented in an easy-to-follow format that cites the practice, explains the practice, and provides examples. The intent of this research is to assist utility managers in the practice areas of Organization and People. Strategic Asset Planning, Business Risk, Maintenance, Secondary Data and Knowledge, and Accounting and Costing. Published by WERF. 206 pages. Online PDF. (2011)
