Abstract

The recovery of nutrients from wastewaters may be a viable nutrient source. Adsorption offers a highly efficient, stable, and low cost technology for phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N) removal. Desorption of the nutrients from the sorbent will allow P and N to be easily recycled using nutrient recycling technologies. This report reviews current literature for use of adsorbent for P and N removal using both conventional and innovative sorbents for nutrient recovery. Published by WERF. 80 pages. Online PDF. (2015)
