Abstract

The objectives of this project are to advance utility source water protection (SWP) efforts by helping utilities 1) understand the return on investment (ROI) of alternative SWP strategies by quantifying and monetizing the full range of associated benefits and costs, including using PFAS as one of the examples; and 2) identify and prioritize related performance metrics that can be incorporated into ongoing assessment of economic value, including water quality/quantity, financial/operational social, and environmental outcomes, including a consideration from climate impacts.
