Hydraulic Fracturing Workshop: Developing Water and Oil & Gas Sector Partnerships
Abstract
This workshop brought together 35 participants to foster partnerships and enhance information exchange between the oil & gas sector and drinking water sector around hydraulic fracturing (HF). The workshop identified communication needs and opportunities for several key water management topics through collaborative assessments of crafted scenarios. Over the course of the workshop, participants developed strategies and action items for emergency response, water quality monitoring, and water management operations. A workshop report will be available in 2015.
