Abstract

This project investigated the synergistic impact of multiple antibiotics on biofilm bacteria that are the heart of slow-rate biofiltration processes use worldwide for the production of drinking water. The research also provided parameters necessary for predicting the fate and impact of antibiotics in drinking water treatment processes such as slow sand filtration and bank filtration.
