Abstract

This project developed a practical guidance manual on the condition assessment of water main appurtenances. The project also developed a number of asset management protocols, including risk-based approaches for assessing asset importance and prioritizing assessments, condition and performance grading procedures for various categories of appurtenances, and procedures that indicate the level of detail assessments should be made at for a range of operational contexts. The final deliverables for this project are the report with the Practitioner Manual included on CD-ROM. This Manual is also included as a separate PDF document available on this project page. Research partners: CSIRO and WSAA. Published in 2012.
