Abstract

Provides guidance to community water systems on how to address Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) and risk communication requirements related to the final arsenic rulemaking, issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Expands on work in project 2692, Understanding the Impact of CCRs and Emerging Issues Communications on Customers. Further evaluates and refines tools for effective communication specifically with respect to language on arsenic contamination required for inclusion in CCRs. Research partner: EPA. Published in 2004.
