Abstract
This report provides guidance on anaerobic digester (AD) foaming incidents for utility operators and consultants working in wastewater and sludge treatment based on plant processes. It includes general guidance on AD foam incident management and information on causes, impacts, and control options available and illustrates the benefits and concerns associated with several monitoring, mitigation, and control alternatives.
