Provides guidance on disinfection practices for water system designers and operators, based on a review of experiences and practices of systems that have changed treatment processes to comply with regulations or for other reasons. Describes problems encountered, additional costs or savings, water quality changes, and other operational and management areas affected by treatment changes. Published in 1990.
